Well, kids, this is it. Its almost over.
My last project for this class, my magnum opus, if you will. Adam’s War Journal. I’ve been meaning to get around to this, at some point; actually documenting the conflict that cemented Adam’s place amongst his people. I figured there’d be some big culmination-style project right at the end, and what better way could I end it than that?
I plan to give everything I can to a combination of audio, pictorial, video, and text work. This was not just the most pivotal series of events in Adam’s life, but a defining moment for his entire world. Much as the Great War and WWII were the defining moments of a generation in our world, so is the Rebellion.
I’d also like to dedicate this work to my father, who passed away last Friday, the 23rd of November. You always encouraged me in my endeavors, no matter how crazy or far-fetched. You didn’t bat an eye at my creative aspirations, unlike a lot of other men I could name. Never questioned my intellectual pursuits, never thought there was something wrong with me when I preferred to have my nose in a book instead of chasing skirts or watching “the game.” You supported me when a lot of other “fathers” I knew would’ve been yelling at me to “act more like a man.” You taught me to look past societal bullshit and to never be afraid of who I am, even if it took me quite a while to realize it.
This one’s for you.
